This page will be specifically devoted to
different things that we have acquired in our COLLECTIONS over the
years, that we have very little idea of what it is. Here we
would ask our viewers, can you help us out? Can
you tell us what it might be, approximate year it was made, and
if possible nearest price range it would be in. If you
would have a book description of it we would be very happy to
get that information as well. Your participation would
be much appreciated. Also, maybe you have
something that you do not know WHAT'S IT, and we can post it on
our page for you?
Our first "What's
it" We know that it is a Military Officers Dress
Regalia. OOps!!
We don't know that.
With the help of one of our
viewers.....Walt..... who gave us some information as to the
belts origin, belonging to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows
(IOOF). We did a little bit of searching and digging
and found a website
where they invited us to email them,
which we did
and they have confirmed for us, what our
viewer Walt,
had told us it was. Our first What's
It,turns out to be a uniform for a Chevalier of the
Patriarchs Militant, the uniformed branch of the
Independent Order of Odd Fellows and dates from sometime before
1936. Henderson-Ames Co., being one of the major
suppliers.
What we have
here is a sword belt with fittings.
. Thanks to Walt..... and
to.......John. John
also telling us what our 2nd What's It is.

Dr. Jacques writes:
This token
is part of a collection of pirate coins reproduction. The whole
series include the following coins: the "Eight Reales Silver Cod",
the "Silver Pillard Dollar" The "Gold Cob Doublon", the "Gold Cob
Pistole" and the "Silver Four Bits". Jacques acquired the
complete set when he was a teenager, he is now 55 so
it was a while ago. He believes that the promotion was for the
Salada Tea Company. As for the reason why the coin identification is
both in English and French it is because they were distributed into
the province of Québec and by law they had to use both
languages.
Many Thanks for your information Dr.
Jacques! ~~~oooOOOooo~~~
3rd "What's
It"
Please help us on this one, we have no idea
what it is! We believe it is some sort of award given to the
Legal Bar System or a Judge.
We've got
some help on this one now! Thanks Donna D. Donna tells me
that this is a medal of the Loyal Orange Lodge (Men's). A
Protestant Organization commemorating the Battle of King William of
Orange.
Please Email me if
you have any idea
what
these "What's Its" are by clicking on the
